Why customers love Harvest at the Orchard Soap
Handcrafted in small batches in rural Southern Illinois, this bar is made the slow way — cold-process, cured a full six weeks, and built on premium oils and butters rather than fillers. The result is a creamy, cushioned lather and a scent that feels considered from the first use to the last.
- Olive Oil
- Small-batch olive oil brings a gentle, ancient character that soap makers have relied on for centuries.
- Beef Tallow
- A traditional heritage fat prized by soap makers for centuries — creates a hard, long-lasting bar with a rich, silken lather.
- Kokum Butter
- A premium butter that hardens the bar and lends a smooth, cushioned lather.
- Castor Oil
- Draws a rich, dense lather with cushion and staying power — the signature of a premium bar.
Wet the bar and work between your palms or onto a natural washcloth to build a rich, creamy lather. Massage across the body or hands, then rinse. Store between uses on a well-drained dish — keeping the bar dry between showers is the single best thing you can do to make it last.
Let the bar dry between uses on a slatted or well-drained soap dish. Keep it out of standing water and away from the direct spray. Every bar is cured a full six weeks before it leaves the studio.
A thoughtful gift — pair with a lotion bar or reed diffuser for a considered set.
Questions we get most
Are your soaps handmade?
Every bar is handcrafted in small batches in rural Southern Illinois using the traditional cold-process method, then cured for six weeks to develop a harder, longer-lasting bar with a creamier lather.
Why cold-process soap?
Cold-process preserves the integrity of premium oils and butters, keeps naturally-occurring glycerin in the bar, and produces a gentler, more luxurious cleanse than commercial detergent bars.
How long will one bar last?
With good care, a 120g bar typically lasts three to four weeks of daily use. Keep it dry between uses on a well-drained soap dish to extend its life.
Do you ship nationwide?
Yes — we ship across the United States from Southern Illinois. Free shipping on U.S. orders over $80, and orders typically ship within seven days.
Do these make a good gift?
Absolutely. Our bars are a favorite for hostess gifts, birthdays, teacher appreciation, groomsmen, and holiday gifting. Pair a soap with a matching lotion bar or reed diffuser for a beautifully considered set.
