Reed Diffuser Education

Always-On, Flameless Home Fragrance

A reed diffuser is the quietest form of luxury home fragrance — a bottle of scented oil paired with natural rattan reeds that wick the fragrance upward and release it slowly into the air. No flame, no plug, no button. Just steady, elegant scent.

Because a diffuser is always working, it's ideal for entryways, powder rooms, guest baths, and bedrooms — rooms you want to smell beautiful the moment someone walks in. Turn the reeds every few days to refresh the throw.

Our reed diffusers are hand-poured in small batches, made with a premium diffuser base and fragrance oils selected for home-fragrance use. They are not intended for use on skin. A single bottle typically fragrances a room for three to four months.

No Flame, No Electricity

Passive fragrance that keeps working through long days out — no wick to light, nothing to plug in.

3–4 Months of Scent

One bottle delivers months of continuous fragrance.

Décor-Forward

A refined French-styled vessel meant to sit on display.

Frequently Asked

Questions & Answers

How does a reed diffuser work?
Natural rattan reeds are placed into a bottle of fragrance oil. The reeds draw the oil up through their porous fibers and release the fragrance into the air, giving you continuous, flameless scent without electricity.
How long does a reed diffuser last?
Illuminated Haven reed diffusers typically fragrance a room for 3–4 months. To refresh the throw, flip the reeds every 3–5 days so the freshly-soaked end is facing up.
Where should I place my reed diffuser?
Entryways, powder rooms, guest bathrooms, home offices, and bedrooms are ideal. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources, which can accelerate evaporation, and place on a coaster to protect finished wood.
How should I handle a reed diffuser around children and pets?
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not ingest. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, finished surfaces, and fabrics. Clean spills immediately, and place the bottle on a stable, protected surface.
How many reeds should I use?
Start with all of the reeds included in the box. Use more reeds for a stronger throw in large or open rooms, and fewer reeds for a softer scent in a small powder room.
Do your reed diffusers match your candle scents?
Yes — several signature scents cross over between diffusers, candles, wax melts, and linen spray so you can layer the same fragrance throughout the home.
